Pain in finger

2020-06-28 18:50:25
I sometimes get intense shooting pain for a few seconds in the first joint of my middle finger of my left hand (the joint under the nail, not my dominant hand) if pressure is applied to it at a particular angle, say while lifting bottles or picking utensils (not heavy items). This has been happening since a month or so, every 3-5 days, other than the pain for a few seconds, I don't have any issue with using the hand for regular housework. How concerned should I be?

This can be due to beginning stiffness of the muscles of that finger. Non dominant hand is used for more pressure and support activities like washing utensils, holding mobile and similar. The middle finger being tallest takes the maximum pressure at the tip joint making it stiff.
Next Steps
compare movement of joint with right hand
