Pain after wisdom tooth extraction
Did surgical wisdom tooth extraction 4 days ago. no pain and no discomfort. everything was normal. in the 5th day exactly after 100 hours of surgery I went to my dentist to check whether healing is alright. he checked by opening the mouth and inserting his instrument and told that everything is fine. clot is ok and gym tissue are healing and opening is closing. but after his checkup i started feeling continuous pain which was not there.is it normal.

Hlo sir….as per the given history it seems that problem started after the dentist checked so it may be possible because of dislodgement of the clot…..visit the dentist again get the area irrigated with antiseptic solution and continue the prescribed pain killer and antibiotics and warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day.

Some pain starting after the dentist examined the extraction socket on day 5 can happen, especially if the healing gum tissue was touched or the area was streched during examination and the pain also occur due to local irritation/ trauma
