Pain after extraction of wisdom.tooth
I have extracted wisdom tooth on the lower jaw which was fully grown. After 7 days I still have a very bad pain. Do not have fever
I'm taking diclomol painkiller for the last 7 days atleast 4 times a day
My dentist gave me zerodol yesterday and asked me to rinse with betadine for 3 more days . Not sure if it's the dry socket or infection . What do I do . I'm worried to take so many pain killers

Ya this is very common after lower 3rd molar extraction

Only resort is take pain killers and do warm saline rinses it will subside with in 3-4 days

Take some strong pain killers like ketorol DT .... Mix in 1/4th cup of water and thn drink it

According to what you have described ,it looks like you have got Dry socket ,post extraction complication.You need not to be worried and no need to take so many pain killers.it can be treated with antibiotic course and dry socket dressing .

Usually the pain settles by 7 days. If there is no improvement at all there might be chances of dry socket. In case if it is dry socket also no need to worry, with proper treatment u will be fine. Please visit a maxillofacial surgeon.

The dentist will put some medicine in the extraction socket. If it's a dry socket u will have immediate relief within a day

You can reduce zerodol to twice a day and add dolonex dt one tablet in between the two doses. It is a more effective pain killer continue this for three days
Warm saline gargles 4-5 times a day should also help
