Hello Please note that my mother bronchoscopy done on 06th of April 2024 and after that oxygen level was down. So doctor has advised to keep her on oxygen support with 1 litre per minute on oxygen concentrator at home till 30 th April and can decrease the level to half litre if oxygen level maintained. As of now , oxygen level is fluctuating between 93 to 99 on first finger of left hand side whereas it shows 95 to 99 on first finger of right hand side. Plz advice as to remove oxygen support or not and how to measure the oxygen since it is fluctuating as well as showing different in different hand. Patient photo attached

It is advisable not to fully stop the o2 support. We can come down on the duration of usage to 12-16hours a day for next 2 weeks and monitor her spo2 levels. A target of more than 92% is sufficient for a person of her age be it any disease. As for the difference in showing of the values, its normal for the probe to show variations of 2-3% in spo2. Kindly share her clinical diagnosis as well for a more specific opinion.
