Sorry to hear about your situation.
Due to stressful circumstances/personality traits, we develop certain ways of thinking which leads to certain behaviours and eventually feeling guilty. Your description of situation seems to suggest this. There is a need to break the cycle, i.e thinking-behaviour-feeling. More often an individual can develop depression. Hence you would benefit from speaking to psychiatrist for assessment and appropriate treatment/support.
