Osteoporosis and thyroid.

My mother is suffering from osteoporosis in the knee. Her hb level I below normal and also suffering from thyroid. Please suggest on the above situation. She has been suffering from osteoporosis for past 6 years and have low access to sun as she does not leave home a lot.

Exercises and vitamin D and Ca tablets are necessary for osteoporosis depending on the bone mineral density. Simple weight bearing exercises like sit to stand, hamstring curls,toe standing would be sufficient done,ten times each and  twice a day. Also cycling or 30mins walk if possible.. consult a dietician for HB level since she requires more of iron content in her food intake.
