Unable to bend thumb backwards. Pain at base of thumb. Left hand. Slight swelling visible at first bend of thumb. Which type of orthopedic Dr should I see. Any exercises I can do for the thumb.  Do I need medication. Any advice would be appreciated. Recommend a Dr if required near sector 52. Tks

You might have Carpometacarpal arthritis. Extension exercises will be helpful. Hot water compression will help. Medications like Tendocare and Cartigen forte will help.
