Since you have OSMF and the red dot has been present for 3 years with gradual increase in size, it should not be ignored. It could be something benign, but any persistent or growing lesion in such cases needs proper evaluation. I would strongly advise a clinical examination by an oral surgeon/periodontist, and if required, a biopsy to rule out any serious condition. Early diagnosis is very important.
