I think i have OCD, i am an IT engineer doing PhD, I keep thinking about any and everything, I cant stop it, recently i found myself talking loudly with myself. I asked a girl out and she said no, it broke my heart, now I have started crying anytime with hardly any control. I think its loneliness. I have suicidal thoughts many days, Somedays I am afraid to go home, once i enter a thought pattern i dont know what will i do after it, many days i keep looking at my parents photos to survive. I have always been a deep thinker , i used to think its under my control but now am realizing its not, please let me know what should i do.

Hello.. Well the loneliness is overpowering your emotions and thus leading to depression symptoms...I would suggest you to meet a counsellor, psychiatrist so that you can talk your heart out and medications which are required..You definitely need support medical as well as from family so that you can come out of this phase

You seem to be depressed & the recurring thoughts may be depressive rhuminations. Since you have thoughts of self harm please visit a psychiatrist at the earliest. With proper medication & therapy you will be able to lead a better life.

Please get yourself assessed in detail by a Psychiatrist to figure out what exactly the problem. Your symptoms appear to be predominantly those seen in depression, but depression and OCD have a significant comorbidity. Having suicidal thoughts is an indication that the problem is quite serious and requires urgent attention. Please seek professional treatment at the earliest; don't wait to feel worse.
