GERD is a tricky disease. It doesn’t have an remedy. You need to do trial and error with foods which causes it. GERD is basically like stumbling. The sphincter muscles between your oeusophagus and stomach gets either too tight or relaxed and reflux happens. So there is no cure. You can only take care of the symptoms. Some common foods you need to avoid is alcohol, coffee, sugary drinks and foods. Smoking is a major major cause of GERD.
These foods doesn’t apply to everyone. You need to hit and trial about which is causing more GERD. Antacids all the time is not a good solution.
