How long have you been taking these medications? Also, what time do you usually take your night dose of Risperidone? Risperidone can have sedative effects, so it is generally advisable to take it earlier in the evening, preferably around 8–9 PM. If you are already doing so and still experiencing significant daytime drowsiness, the dosage may need to be reviewed and adjusted by your psychiatrist.
Next Steps
Follow up with your psychiatrist or you can consult with me as well.

It sounds really frustrating to be stuck in that cycle, especially when it’s affecting your routine and classes. Irregular sleep timing, medications, and habits like doomscrolling can all play a role here, but it’s usually not just one single cause. Since you’re already on treatment, this would be important to review properly rather than trying to fix it on your own. A psychiatrist can help look at your sleep pattern, medications, and daily routine together and make small adjustments that can make a big difference. I’d suggest consulting your psychiatrist to discuss this in detail and get a more tailored plan.
