No pregnancy but still missed 2 periods

I have missed two consecutive periods. I have also got done HCG blood test after first missed period but it came negative. My gynaec gave me a medicine to bring my periods but it hasn't worked. What should I do?

It takes 8 to 10 days for the period to happen  after stopping the medicine .
