No improvements in ADHD wit Atomoxetine

I've been on Atomoxetine for more than 6 months now, currently at a 50mg dose along with Bupropion 300 mg and my symptoms have not improved at all. My psychiatrist is not trying out stimulants even though they have shown to work and have a much better effect. He expressed concerns about addiction, which I understand I share this concern too. But my quality of life is horrible right now, and I have not been able to work in a long, long time and I'm falling behind schedule by months. This is causing financial stress too. Is the concern about addiction reasonable even though my quality of life might improve significantly? Or should I consult with another psychiatrist, who perhaps has a better understanding of ADHD? I am consulting with a clinical psychologist, but there is only so much that can be achieved by therapy when I have almost zero motivation everyday. Any advice on this is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I studied Clinical. Please check with another doctor who can recognise your challenges better. I have doubt about your ADHD. I think your issues is not related to ADHD. With short explanation you have written, I think it can be some other psychological problems. Just remember the only one who can help you, is just YOU. You still are so young and have potential to change everything and make a wonderful life for yourself. I know it's very difficult, but along with medicine, have therapy simultaneously as medicine itself can't be effected. Please don't rely just on medicine as it will just change the symptoms and nothing else. Psychological issues need to be cured from roots. Do take care!
Next Steps
please find another reliable psychiatrist and therapist as well to help you cure as soon as possible.
