New born crying and not sleeping

My daughter is 11 days old and since two days she is very fussy and not sleeping any longer than 1 hr. Previously she used to sleep 20 hrs. She gets awake in little bit of sound. She is also crying if not held and consoled . Always wants to sleep in lap. She is also taking medicine for colic. Is this normal in new born?

It’s concerning that your 11-day-old daughter has become very fussy and isn’t sleeping longer than an hour, especially since she used to sleep 20 hours. Her waking at the slightest sound and constant need for consoling could indicate discomfort or an underlying issue. The fact that she’s taking medicine for colic adds another layer to consider.
