Is it possible to detect myopia in 1 yr old? What would be the corrective actions if say around -0.25 power is detected? Will wearing glasses for such small kid be necessary? Can the power be brought back to 0? Thanks.

Hello 1.yes... myopia can be detected in an infant ... cycloplegic refraction can do that 2. In infant, myopia of 4D is normal So if myopia of 0.25 is detected then it is normal

Hi, the power is too low, need not worry. No need for correction. The eyes are still growing, it may get corrected on its own. A pre school evaluation can be done. Or sooner if you notice squinting of the eyes.
