Widal test is an antibody test. It doesn't pick up Typhoid bacillus from the blood. Antibodies test will be positive for a long time even after you complete the treatment. The only thing is that the titre will be falling. So if you don't have symptoms and you have taken the full course of treatment, you should not take treatment again.
