Hi doctor, my thyroid simulating harmone is 12.8 Will it be dangerous and is curable.if curable how long I have to take medication. Kindly help me with this. Thanks

Thyroid level is high. You have hypothyroidism. Medication has to be started. Thyroid medication is almost for lifetime. Blood test is to be repeated every month for 1st 6months then after every 3 months then 6 months

Hi..u will need to be started on medications..also diet Modifications also to be followed that will bring the thyroid in control..moreover ur complete thyroid profile will have to be done...would advise that u meet the endocrinologist so that he can start u on medications and monitor ur values regularly and decide on adjusting the dosage
