I underwent MTP took mifepristone and 4 Misoprostol 36 hours later. It Bled normally. This happened on 23rd june. I took trans vaginal sonography today and the results are as follows: Uterus: 1. Cavity shows small mixed exhogenic areas measuring about 14mm to 10mm suggestive of poc 2. POD shows no fluid collection. 3. No adnexal pathology detected. Ovary: Both ovaries are visualized and normal. Impression: Incomplete abortion. The usg person told me to go for another set of Misoprostol. Is it really necessary? How do i take this medicine? I took cefizime last time to avoid infections, do i need to take another course of cefizime again? I took urine pregnancy test and it is negative now.

Better to go for surgical procedure D&C, more product remains inside, more it gets adherant and chances of infection is always there affecting future fertility

Small products of conception will be clear by misoprost only. But you have to take antibiotics again. After misoprost again go for ultrasonography to know the condition of the uterus. This time remaining products will come out.
