Mouth burning sensation

My grandmother is 80+ she's a diabetic patient and has been complaining with mouth and lip burns when showed to a doc they said she's got fungal infection and gave her forcan 200mg tab and gel She finished the course and continues applying the gel but that doesn't seem like working on her She still complains of mouth and lip burning sensation plz can u suggest something
