For a 34-week pregnant woman, nitrofurantoin 100 mg twice daily for 7 days is a commonly used regimen for lower UTI/asymptomatic bacteriuria, and a short course is not expected to cause fetal harm when appropriately indicated.

Doctors often start antibiotics for UTI symptoms in pregnancy before the culture report comes back, since an untreated infection carries more risk for you and your baby than starting treatment early.
Next Steps
Go ahead and finish the course as prescribed, then share the culture result with your doctor once it is ready.
Health Tips
If fever, back pain, or your symptoms do not improve, contact your doctor promptly.
