Mild bleeding for 8 days

My wife has been having mild bleeding since last 8 days. It happens only during noon or when some household chores are done. The bleeding started 5-6 days before her normal cycle and she does not have a history of irregular periods. What needs to be done? Is this in any way a symptom of pregnancy?
