Methylprednisolone & other medications

Consulted a Rheumatologist for some problem, he suspected some kind of inflammation and hence prescribed Methylprednisolone 8mg once a day. As it is a strong drug/steroid I am resistant in using it. What can be it's other substitutes that are non steroids? Also can paracetamol be used when taking Methylprednisolone? Can Naproxen be taken for inflammation?

You can use Naproxen... but take Rheumatologist word... has he will be examined and depending on grade of inflammation he would have prescribed
