Methotrexate effect on liver

Hello, My mom is 58yrs old. She is suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis and on methotrexate for 12 yrs. She quaterly have her tests for CBC, ESR, SGPT, Creatine and crp. Her SGPT is mostly normal, creatine recently at lower allowable limit and crp is some where around 35 since a year. She is having little pain while walking, but she manages that much. My question is... Can she have methotrexate side effects on liver if she is having SGPT normal?? Or should we conduct some more liver tests to ensure her liver is perfectly fine??

If her liver function tests are mostly normal, then that is all that is needed for monitoring methotrexate effects on liver in rheumatoid arthritis patients. Also, if her CRP is high that means she has ongoing inflammation in her joints. So even if she doesn't have much pain, her joints can still get damaged leading to deformities
Next Steps
Consult a Rheumatologist (arthritis specialist) for proper management of her rheumatoid arthritis
