My right knee MRI says "complete loss of morphology of medial and lateral meniscus with associated meniscal extrusion- traumatic medial and lateral meniscus tear" .. what does this mean? Is my tear grade 1, 2 or 3?

It's very difficult to comment on a MRI report without seeing the MRI pics itself. Also a complete history and medical exam is required to understand you injury and treatment expectations. Grade of the tear is different from the extent and thus should not have a bearing in the treatment decided.
Next Steps
Please visit an Orthopedic surgeon.

Hello, the description of the tear seems like a grade 3 tear but we cannot comment unless we see the MRI ourselves. Extrusion of menisci is an uncommon but significant finding. Please take a formal appointment with an orthopedic surgeon or sports injuries surgeon to get yourself examined and the MRI evaluated. Hope this helps
