Menicus tear
I have a third grade menicus tear how many days can i go without operation? Can i avoid operation?..
Hi! Please donot avoid surgery for long. Consider urgent. The only reason being the irreparable cartilage damage that may occur because of the torn fragment of the meniscus.
Grade 3 meniscus injuries are mostly symptomatic with locking and mechanical symptoms being predominant.
It should be either shaved off or repaired. Young patients repair does well according to morphology and site of meniscal tear.
