Hello! Seems like you have a dermal type of melasma. There are different types of melasma such as epidermal, dermal and mixed. Epidermal type go away completely with treatment. Dermal type are resistant to most types of treatment. Therapies such as q switch ND yag laser, peels ,prp may be tried. The only and best solution is to apply sunscreen religiously so that the melasma does not spread nor darken further.
