Lymphadenitis - Submandibular Lymph Node

I have lymphadenitis about 2cm*2cm. I got FNAC and Mantoux test done. Both came negative. So then did one more FNAC from a different Pathologist. That report turned to be positive for TB and read "Aspirate shows caseous necrotic material, degenerated cells and illdefined epithelioid cell granuloma". but second mantoux still came negative. Help?

Now-a-days due to advancement in technology along with healthcare sector, we have most definitive tests available which are non-invasive or least invasive like Genexpert TB Test or TB gold test which will 100% confirm whether the patient has TB or not. Mantoux test can be many a times fale negative or positive. Hence, we can not relay on that test.

Montaux test can be false negative as well as false positive. I suggest you consult a physician and get it examined.
