Hello ! The impact of bronchiectasis depends on how much is the extent of it. If it is a very small area of bronchiectasis then it should not bother you much .  The main issue with bronchiectasis (abnormally dilated airway) is that there is increased chance of mucus stasis and infection.  So take care not to catch an Infection.Take timely vaccination to reduce the risk of infection.  If you have breathlessness then you need to be started on bronchilator inhalers .Along with medications, chest physiotherapy and postural drainage of the mucus also helps a lot .
