This is a condition of old ageing factor.. As we get old, some changes always take place 8n our body at every part of the body.. So is the back.
These osteophytes are the spur formation in the vertebral bodies(bones) of the spine at L4, 5& S1 level. Thes apurs occupy the space present between the two discs(intervertebral disc space). Sometimes tge compress the nerves leading to pain in the legs or aometimes only in the back because of muscle weakness. It also known as lumbar spondylosis.
