Low Fever 99.3°C

Hi, My father is an Ulcerative Colitis patient and his IPAA Surgery is completed two years back. From past three days he has low fever 99.3c. earlier he has cough but no he doesn't have that. Also he is not showing any other symptoms. Please suggest the meds and what is causing this issue.

Hi... This is Dr.Harsha,consultant Gastrointestinal and Minimal access Surgeon from Bangalore, From the above description understand that your father had ulcerative colitis for which he underwent a total proctocolectomy followed by an ileoanal pouch anastomosis.. And two years following this surgery he has now developed fever and cough the cough has subsided but the fever is still persistent .. There are a multitude of causes for fever.... both relating to the IPAA ( pouchitis) and other causes of fever ... I would request you to consult me once so that I can ask you a few more questions to delineate the exact cause for your father's fever...
