Hi, from what you have written it is difficult to come to any conclusion. You seem distressed and worried unnecessarily.
The human mind is like a monkey, always jumping from one thought to another.
You seem to be giving importance to small small thoughts that come to your mind . Understanding another person's point of view is not wrong, it does not mean that you have started thinking like them.
You have not mentioned substance use/abuse but this has to be ruled out.
You need to be at peace and have clarity of thought . For this I would suggest you visit a Psychiatrist. If you have any underlying Depression or some other disorder it can be ruled out or treated accordingly. You will benefit from counseling and gain clarity and peace of mind.
In the meantime adopt a healthy lifestyle . Exercise regularly, eat good nutritious food , sleep adequately and keep away from stimulants, alcohol or harmful substances.
