My father is a diabetes patient. He recovered from covid last 7 days. His sugar level is not in control. today his sugar level in night is 550 and in morning 450. Medication is attached. Kindly help.

Hello Hyperlycaemia wil be dere as he is on steroids. Need to start insulin.. Insulin mixtard 30/70 at rate of 14 before breakfast Nd 10 units before dinner. Need titration based on GRBS. GRBs to b done thrice daily. Insulin to be taken till steroid usage is dere. Stop insulin 24 hrs after stopping steroids.
Next Steps
monitor sugars at least 3 times a day. If has deep rapid breathing, vomiting, abdominal pain need admission.
