I have been on my period for three weeks and its brow and thick. I just got on birth contol

If its this prolonged and u hv bn sexually active first do a urine pregnancy test. If negative u need to do an ultrasound pelvis. Causes of prolonged periods are thyroid disorders , hormonal imbalance , pcos etc. Get urself examined too
