Long distance marriage

I have been trying for a baby from last month whenever I visit my husband back from my work station. I got my period instead of conception. I am taking folic acid and I tried making relation on day 12 ,14 of last month's cycle. My cycle is of 27/28 days. Kindly help me conceive in a long distance marriage .
