Liver stiffness score 24 kpa
My mother has NAFLD. Recently the LSM score of Fibroscan came 24 kpa. ASL ALT levels close to 100. No symptoms. Doctor told not to worry only diet will help. I am a little bit concerned that 24 kpa really indicates cirrhosis of liver as mentioned over google search.
Fibroscan is not a good indicator when AST and ALT are elevated. It can come falsely high. However the major concern is why AST and ALT are so high. It is important to rule out other causes before labelling it as NAFLD/NASH and it needs specific treatment. Consult your Hepatologist for detailed evaluation and treatment
