Left Side lower tooth had a gap

Left Side lower tooth had a gap, due to which food gets stuck in it and sometime gets sensitivity or very low pain. I consult 2 doctors and got different view. One doctor suggested RCT (Root canal) to do, Whereas Another one suggested Amalgam filling will work. Kindly let me know which way to go ?

Hello We don’t do amalgam fillings any more and there is a difference between filling and rct these two are totally different please send an x ray
