Whenever pressure is applied to that specific part while walking etc it aches. I had previously thought of it to be sprain but now it has been two weeks and is still there.

Did you have had a fall or trauma to your foot? Do you have a history of raised uric acid levels?
Next Steps
Have an x-ray of foot AP and Lateral view done. Also check for uric acid levels.
