Lateral ligament tear

On 21st March I had my lateral ligament tear..it's been long and I am feeling better but not my 100 percent like I can't walk smoothly nor i can't sit down with my feet down its start burning in my ankle dr. told me to only use ice packs on it no heat..but that isn't working for me as it's been 2 weeks and the pain is annoying me a lot..wat should I do ?

Ligament healing takes 6 to 8 weeks Now since 2 weeks have passed do hot fomentation

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided.
