Success rate for dental lasers in restoring cavity teeth is almost the same as the conventional methods,if care is taken to remove the entire carious part of the tooth except arrested caries which can be left behind before restoring with a tooth colored filing material. Usually dental laser procedures are slightly expensive and only a few clinics are equipped with it.

Laser is generally advised more for soft tissue surgeries than for hard tissue treatments. Although It can be done for cavity preparation too and root canal sterilization procedures . It is an  available alternative to conventional   cavity preparation. The very fact that using expensive laser equipment for dental therapy should also prepare you for additional service costs from the conventional mode of dental restorations. Tc
