Laser treatment for unwanted hair growth

Hiii... actually I have gone through the laser treatment yesterday. I had unwanted growth on my chin area and it was my firsr session yesterday. My doctor has prescribed me Eflite Cream on treated area but at that time the ointment was out of stock. If I start using the ointment after 2 days then can it be effctive or not?
