See, no drug that is approved by the authorities and used appropriately at the right dose for the right diagnosis is dangerous . All drugs have some or the other side effects, most people don’t experience them all, and even if they do , most are manageable. Both lamotrigine and desvenlafaxine are excellent drugs with proven efficacy but need to used correctly for the right disorder at the right dose.
Please discuss with your psychiatrist if you have any concerns regarding safety of any drug you have been started on. No use wondering and going by what “most people say”. Trust the professionals and most importantly have trust in your doctor.
