Knee Pain after i stand

M hvng pain in my left knee. when I sit on my knees, and when i stand up, i feel pain. don't knw whethr it's bone, muscle, nerves. I m worried. Feel the same pain when I run, apart from that if i walk or do daily normal activities, i don't feel pain. Consultd a doc, he said to got for vit D n b12 test. shud i go ?
