Knee joint pain

I am having OA from last 5 years.now it is becoming a big problem for me. I used all type of medicine but results were negative.pleas advise how to manage it?

Early OA knee... Rule out RA and other causes of early arthritis by investigation Get an x ray knee Ap lateral Adv: Quadriceps static and dynamic exercise IFT And intraarticular steroid injection Avoid sqauting, sitting cross legged and climbing stairs

Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day.

You need to start physiotherapy exercises for your knee pain. Additionally avoid squatting, jumping and running. Weight reduction with the help of a dietitian will be very helpful

You will need to get your knee x ray done in ap and lateral view. Also having OA at such a young age is not normal. You need to get visit an orthopaedic surgeon for a check up for early onset osteoarthritis
