Knee jam after sitting cross legged.

I am 23. My knees jam whenever I sit for long cross legged and early in the morning when I wake up. I exercise regularly and the pain subsides after exercising my knees. I have grown to be little overweight owing to exams. I am 6 ft tall and weigh 91 kgs.
