Knee arthritis pain
Hello Doctors,
My mom has bilateral knee osteoarthritis.
She is obese and weighs around the 79kg and she is 49 years old.
We had consulted a local orthopedic doctor and got prescribed Rejuprix cd3, Duraglide max, Altraday tablet, uprise D3 60k.
After taking those for around 10 days, since we didn't see any improvement in pain, we consulted the doctor again. Then, she got kenacort 1ml injection on her left knee and she has been taking medicines also.
Now, we consulted another physician and got prescribed tide 10, febumac 40, naprosyn 500.
Currently, she is not taking Altraday pain killer medicine.
But, we are seeing a spike in her blood pressure and staying around 140/90 most of the times in a day.
We are suspecting whether it's kenacort steroid injection caused the spike in blood pressure and she is also tensed due to knee pain issues as well as blood pressure.
Please advise us accordingly.
I have attached x-ray pictures for reference.
This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided.
However I would like to examine & investigate your mother in detail.
-Control Hypertension, Diabetes or metabolic disorder, if there is any.
-Any way it may be tried,
--. Dolokind Plus (Mankind) [Aceclofenac100 mg +Paracetamol 350 mg] 1 tab. OD & SOS. X 5 days.
--. Caldikind plus (Mankind) 1 tab OD x 10 days.
-(You may need help of your local doctor to get these medicines.)
--. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold.
--. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding.
--. Keep a pillow under the knees.
--. Avoid painful acts & activities.
-- .Do mild exercises for the back and lower limbs.
