Hello, Advanced progressive keratoconus can lead to severe reduction in vision. It can lead to further complications like rupture of cornea etc which can endanger ones vision. It cannot be "cured" by contact lenses or glasses If it is progressive meaning if disease is found to be worsening with time then it can be stabilized with CXL treatment commonly known as laser. Not mandatory in stable keratoconus /above age of 40

Hello A. First step is to assess if it is progressive or not. If progression is there then collagen cross linking is advised.else we can observe and depending on corneal Topography, glasses or contact lens etc are advised

There are multiple remedies to overcome the problem of blindness. Be positive. And consult a good cornea specialist. Ther are remedies like specs ,contact lens. C3r and keratoplasty etc.

It depends on the corneal curvatures and the integrity . Can manage it with contact lens to an extent and then you need treatment for building the integrity . Some of them are progressive and the others non progressive . Would need a detailed evaluation .
