Joint pains

My mother has been diagnosed for dengue recently 20 days back but the reports has shown negative results. But she is suffering from severe joint pains throughout the body. So recently we  took the CBP reports but the platelet count also seems to be normal. Could u pls suggest what should we do?

Joint pain following a viral fever is very common. In India , the commonest virus causing arthritis( joint pain and swelling) is chikungunya virus. Its initial feature may be similar to dengue virus. So May be ur mother had chikungunya fever initially. Post- chikungunya , joint problems can persist in 15-20 percent people. It can be treated very well. Please do consult a Rheumatologist( specialist in joint pain management).
