Jaundice in new born

My baby age is 7 days. Total bilirubin is 13.5 on 3rd day..after phototherapy for 24 hrs it reduced to 12.5. got discharged on 4th day. Today 7th day it is 15.1. please suggest

Pls consult your pediatrician/hospital. Weight/feeds/ other relevant signs need to be checked.

Do not worry . Wait and watch . If child feeding well / Passing urine adequately then wait for another 24 hours before repeating tests

You don’t have to worry with this report if your babies birth weight is more than 2.5 kg . Just feed the baby well & if yellowish discolouration increases repeat the bilirubin along with another 2 test . 1. FT4 , TSH 2. G6PD .
Health Tips
Feed the baby well , bilirubin level increases after 1 week even if the feeding is inadequate .

If Ur baby is more than 3kgs then u can wait or else u require phototherapy after evaluation
