Itching on arms and legs

I got itching on arm and legs . I scratched it and now i have red blood spots on my upper arm . I took allegra and itching stopped . I keep getting itching somewhere or other on body and it results into red rash sometimes with small pimple like bumps . I have dry skin and had menopause 8 years back . Is getting red blood spot under skin normal after scratching
