Is white coat hypertension dangerous

Hello doctors, I have regular BP of 150/110 or 170/100 from past 3 weeks. When i usually go for a BP check up, i feel nervous. I just think to much about my high BP. Everything goes into my mind that whether my BP reading will be high or low. Is this due to white coat hypertension? How to over come this? Or is this just a myth? THANK YOU
